This course is a resource center survey of American literature in which literature is used to expose students of various genres, vocabulary, compositions, themes, philosophies, history and techniques that comprise the use of English language in America. Additionally, the readings will be used to motivate the discussion, written and oral expression, and critical analysis of ideas. This course mirrors that of the mainstream with modifications where appropriate. Successful completion of this course will earn the student five credits toward the English requirement for graduation. |
